Long Beach Home and School Association, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization registered in Illinois as a non-profit charitable organization for the purpose of supporting Long Beach Elementary School in Montgomery, IL. We are solely comprised of parents and staff of this school and volunteer our time for the benefit of our students and our school.
The Executive Board consists of four positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. In addition to the executive positions are the Members-At-Large. These volunteers serve on and/or chair the various Home and School Committees.
Sandra Ramirez, President
The President presides over the monthly board meetings, general meetings and any special meetings.
This is Sandy’s third year as member of the home and school, her first year on the executive board, and her first year as president. Previously Sandy helped organize community night, events and hospitality
Melissa Smart, Vice President
The Vice-President presides at the meetings in the absence of the President, upon request acts as an aide to the President and assumes responsibility for duties assigned by the President.
Melissa is in her sixth year on the Home & School, with a son who recently moved up to Plank Jr. High, and a daughter in third grade at Long Beach. Melissa’s past and present committees and responsibilities include: Art Appreciation, Room Parties, Fundraising, Fun Run and Yearbook.
Jennifer Powell, Treasurer
The Treasurer keeps accurate records of all financial transactions of the association and gives a financial report at all Association meetings.
Heather Setina, Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of the proceedings of the association.
This is Heather’s third year as member of the Home and School Assn, her first year on the executive board, and her first year as Secretary. Previously Heather assisted at community nights, room parties and volunteering in her child’s classroom on a weekly basis.
